Hatching 1
"Welcome to Icarus!" Breeze said as she saw the boy and the girl
laying on the sands. She found it a bit odd that they were laying in those
hot sands, but hey, it were Lenikis eggs and they were beautiful.
"Icarus?"
"Yes, didn't you come from the boat?"
The two looked very confused, they weren't dressed regularly either. Oh
well, Breeze had seen many strange people. She glanced at the eggs. Were
they rocking?
"You better get outside." she said, "the eggs will hatch and you
don't want to upset Leniki."
When the two were outside Breeze turned to her drak and said:
"I'll leave them to you, be a good mother."
Water leniki turned to her eggs and waited. About half an hour later 4
little draklings were hurding against there mother.
"It'sss time to go out, everyone remember their name?"
All 4 draklings, 2 males and 2 females nodded."
Leniki went through the door and opened it. She went outside, sheltering her
children from the hungry eyes of the erm 'humans'. They would get to see
them quick enough. Leniki looked up and scanned the skies. She soon found
what she had been looking for, Gelonthis.
"Come down!" she shouted, "Ssssee our draklings."
The desert flew down and perched just in time to see a little earth drak run
off from behind her mother.
"Uniski!" she yelled as she ran for her chosen, jumping over some
blocks half her size and avoiding humans. Nif looked as the drak came
closer. Finally Uniski stopped in front of Nif and tilted her head up,
looking deep in the girls eyes and promptly fell asleep against her
afterwards.
Led by his sister a daring fire strode towards the former slaveboy
Alexander.
"Weskiis." the fire said and sat down protectively in front of the
boy and his lover Marianne making his message very clear. Everyone who
wanted to separate these two would need to go past him first. He bugled and
looked at the humans around him, if looks could kill...
When everyone's attention was with the fire, the small Day male looked at his
chosen. He was white and furry. Odd, the others weren't like that, but
neither were they like his mothers Knight, so it must be ok to want him. But
Hala was also looking at his bigger brother. Some pebbles would help to get
his attention!
Hala turned and stabilised the pebbles just in front of his face, But
between the little rocks he could see the light day drak.
Happy with the attention he deserved, The day drak said: "Fyakiis."
and went to his chosen.
Three draks had chosen and only one aspirant remained. But Marianne couldn't
spot another drak running around. Maybe she should be happy with Weskiis to
protect Alexander and her both, but she still envied him a little.
As she turned toward her lover she noticed an anomaly in the Mother draks
skin. She looked more closely and finally made out a head. The little Water
that resembled her mother was close to falling asleep. When she saw Marianne
looking at her, she made a soft happy sound and said: "Valeiski." and let
herself be taken from her mothers care.
With all her draklings paired Leniki stood up straight and bugled, heralding the first hatching at DesCas.
