Lantessama Isle - Information

Below is the old colour information on Lantessama Dragons.

1. General Info
Normal Lantessama Dragons come in many colours and genders. Cross-Gender bonding isn't unusual at Lantessama. The Dragons have 2 wings and come in 2 stages. Every colour has different baby and adult images.
Lantessama dragons don't differ much in size. The smallest dragons, being the opals, obsidians and spectrals are about the size of a horse, while the other dragons can range from that same horse-size to about two times as big. They are probably smaller than other dragons found all over the nexus, but The Isle isn't that big...
Unlike the Shadowlings, Dragons don't normally posses magical powers beside their telepathic, telekinetic and flying elsewhere abilities. Sometimes though when traits of certain colours are mixed together and new colours emerge a hint of magic may also be seen in hatchlings. It is up to the rider if he/she wishes to train their dragon in these skills.

2. Ranking
Note that stories of about one or two pages will get you dragons from the category "very common/common" while a somewhat longer and more in dept story will advance you to higher levels of rarity. There is no ranking among these dragons in the sense that if a dragon is a sun then she must lead. It is not uncommon for a foliage to lead a Laeder, or for her rider to become a Laedrys, she's just more commonly seen than for instance a gold.

Traits and Tips

Midnight
(Shimmer)
Midnight dragons are dragons of the Night. Their characters lay hidden behind layers of masking virtues, changing like Mercury. Only their riders truly know their bonds. So there's no way of telling what characters will impress a Midnight.
Their colours range from blue-white to Platinum (blue-silver) to Titanium (blue- black). Every now and again the blue of the shimmer might shift to purple/red or green/yellow. Their wings depict the moon that represents their changing moods so well.
Rarity: RARE
Sunset
(Sunset)
Sunsets are dragons of the Day. They are open and generally stubborn. They have their sets of values and ideals. They make sure the world knows what they think and they hardly ever change their views.
Their colours are a tribute to the sun's warmth. Ranging from yellow, over orange and red to purple. Their wings are swirling with warm colours.
Rarity: RARE

Sun
(Gold)
Sun dragons are Day dragons who enjoy taking the lead. That's why so many Laedrysses are sunriders. Suns are very ambitious and take pride in their actions. They will never look back ashamed. They can be a bit stuck up, but this isn't always the case. With the right bond they can become true leaders who know their people/dragons and bring prosperity.
Sun colours range from Gold to Yellow to Orangey. In their wings you can see the warm rays of sun.
Rarity: UNCOMMON
Rayant
(Bronze)
Rayants are also Day dragons. They have a high need to lead and prove themselves. They aren't as secure about their actions as the suns and tend to doubt now and again. They like to act quick and severe thus sometimes making a situation worse. Generally however, with the right bond they can overcome this flaw.
Their colours range from Bronze to sandy Beige. In their wings you will find metallic structures that gave them their name.
Rarity: UNCOMMON
Moon
(Silver)
Moons are Night dragons. They are kind of secretive and love to gossip among themselves. They really have a group thing going, like they are elite. As long as they aren't unfair to the other dragons and manage to work in a team no-one minds though. Someone can only wonder what they try to hide though. Could it possibly have something to do with the strange events that now and again happen around silvers? Maybe. They do prefer magicians, that's a fact...
Moons are silvery-grey. Sometimes they are dappled, but mostly they are smoothly coloured. Their wings are a tribute to the moon.
Rarity: UNCOMMON
Flame
(Copper)
Flames are Night dragons who enjoy style and interior decoration. They have a flair for creating the right mood and can be a bit dramatic at times. They are the dreamers of the dragons with high hopes. They are very romantic and many of them have been known to only pursue one female all their lives. Love at first sight is also common amongst these charming dragons.
Their colours range from Salmon over Copper to Orange. Their wings are a shining play of flames on dark.
Rarity: UNCOMMON
--
Dawn
(Cream)
Dawn dragons are dragons of Day and Night. Incorporating both opposites in one colour. They range a bit more to day than to night. Dawns have a some- what sad, but hopeful aura around them. They are sad because they know that night must always follow day, knowing they'll have to miss their beloved sun... but hopeful because they know their sun will always return.
Their colours range from Cream to Pink, with rays of sun on a silvery back- ground in their wings.
Rarity: COMMON
Blood
(Red)
Blood dragons are dragons of the Night. They have a sort of sarcastic way about themselves that makes some people uneasy in their company. Bloods like this. They are not bad dragons, they just enjoy to be feared and having a weird reputation is right up their alley.
Bloods can range from very light red to dark red that's almost black with wings that are a swirly mix of black and red.
Rarity: COMMON
Earth
(Brown)
Earth dragons are neither Night nor Day. They watch from a distance and ponder. They don't much like to take action without thinking it over. They can trust someone completely though and therefore make great laeder-seconds.
Their colour can range from dark to light brown with wings that would be great for camouflage in mountain areas.
Rarity: COMMON
--
Nebula
(Purple)
Nebula dragons are Dragons of Both Night and Day. They enjoy taking orders and will carry them out appropriately. Unless the orders are against what they believe. Nebula's are the kind of dragons that could have real moral problems... That's why, if they bond, they will do so with someone who has morals like themselves.
Their hides range from soft purple to dark violet. Their wings are dark purple with specks of lighter purples inside.
Rarity: VERY COMMON
Rain
(Blue)
Rain dragons are neither Night nor Day and neither do they care about what they are. They are easygoing dragons with a happy mood who enjoy playing a prank now and again.
They can be the dark blue of Midnight or the Sparkling blue of a summer sky. Their wings are blue with lighter shades running down in a raining pattern.
Rarity: VERY COMMON
Foliage
(Green)
Foliage dragons are neither Night nor Day. They are fun to be around and very caring. Their bond means anything to them and without a bond they would soon die unlike the rarer dragons who seem to posses some independence.
Greens range from the dark green of pine to the clear green of new leaves at the start of Spring. In their wings you will find leaves of all sort.
Rarity: VERY COMMON
--
Opal
(White)
Opal Dragons are dragons of the Day. They are smaller than regular dragons and have an open character. They like to have free time to enjoy the day and generally don't like night watches. They are very fast and can fly higher than most dragons.
Their colour is white with specks of other colours on their hide while their wings are white with rays of soft grey.
Rarity: COMMON
Obsydian
(Black)
Obsydians are Night dragons. They are shy and don't like to go out between all the other dragons. They are smaller than normal dragons and contrary to the opals enjoy night watches. They have an intellectual streak and like looking at the sky counting stars.
Their colour is black, marbled with other colours. Their wings are dark with a starry pattern.
Rarity: COMMON
Spectral
(Rainbow)
Spectrals are dragons of Night and Day. They are small thrill-seekers who enjoy scaring people with their daring tricks. Their bonds better not have a heart condition or be a scaredy cat. They almost always lead the laeders on in battle as they are even faster than opals and smarter than blacks combining these two traits into one lean mean fighting machine.
Their hides are riddled in all colours of the rainbow making them look exotic. Their ground colour can be either black or white. You could say they are a special form of Opals and Obsydians.
Rarity: UNCOMMON

    b) Special Dragon Colours

Colour

Traits and Tips

two-tone These dragons have two main colours, you can get them by making a story that fits the cardinal traits of two colours. Or by for instance making a long story with lots of insight (gold wings) and with the character traits of a Green.
tri-tone These dragons have three main colours and will only be born if one of the parents is a two-tone, usually colour names of three-tones are unique, but they do have logic behind it (for instance three-tones with Dawn in it are usually referred to as 'Hope'), these are also likely to have magic.
Patterned These might be handed out to exceptional stories or when the eggs have patterned parents. Examples: Spotted, Speckled, Striped, Firestorm
Seasons These come in 5 colours: Winter, Summer, Spring, Autumn and Galactic.
These dragons are quite mysterious. They look certainly different from normal dragons and posses some set colours and skills that give them an edge when it comes to fighting shadow spirits.
The Winter is white-grey with sometimes blue or purple and has the gift of Air. The Spring is more yellow-gold with sometimes bright green and has the gift of Water. The Summer is mostly green-blue with sometimes specks of gold or silver and has the gift of Earth and finally the Autumn is red-gold with sometimes black and brown and has the gift of Fire.
The Galactic is a mixed form which mostly appears in the colours black and purple/blue with white or blue marks, they wield the power of Energy or Electricity.
Glows When a mating partly goes in the Elsewhere, glow dragons might be born. When the eggs are first laid you can see the little glows because the eggs are still transparent enough to see the light shine through. Later the eggs harden and the glow disappears.
