Hatching
Leeli had taken the first opportunity to leave the crew they'd gotten.
They'd only stayed on because they had no other place to go, no means to
make a living other than staying with those people who had uprooted them
from their home. Not that home had been such a great place. Which was why
Leeli opted for a high-tech adoptiona agency. They'd gotten used to some of
the improvements technology brought to life and they would not give them up.
When Leeli arrived, the Fur and Feather Frezny hatchings had been going
steadily for a while. But still plenty of eggs were available. Leeli wasn't
picky. Well maybe slightly. Looking at the parents, Leeli decided to go for
the pairing that felt best to them and that was the all-female pair Lex
Filidelaka and Ilece Oranato.
When the eggs started hatching, Leeli leaned forward, curious to see what
would happen. Left and right hatchlings broke free. Most in warm, earthy
tones but there were also a a couple blues, greens and even a purple in the
mix. One by one the baby dragons found bonds or proclaimed the wish to not
bond yet. As the number of dragons dwindled, Leeli started to shuffle a bit
nervously. They usually kept their cool, but they did not want to go back to
the Fleet. They wanted to start their own life.
Luckily, the last hatchling, with hide so brightly white it seemed to glow,
yellow feathers and orange wingsails, looked Leeli's way and gave her the
draconic variant of a smile.
"Yes, you won't buckle under pressure. You are
mine. My name is Ceile."

Flight
Training had been hard work, but havig a partner made everything more
bearable. Leeli had taken to dragon-care like a natural and Ceile, being as
smart and practical as her bond, had not had problems either. They had
decided early on that they would travel. Both were ready to see places and
look for a place to call home.
"Somewhere where we do not need to hide who we are." Leeli stipulated.
"Somewhere we can fly free and unencumbered."
Ceile agreed.
"Someplace where we can earn a living doing things we like."
"Someplace where we can enjoy ourselves." Ceile
agreed.
"Somewhere we can find a family." Leeli stipulated.
"Somewhere to rise and raise little ones."
Ceile noted.
"Maybe someday." Leili agreed.
